1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Bhagwan Seva ("the Platform"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform. These terms constitute a binding agreement between you and Bhagwan Seva.
2. Platform Description
Bhagwan Seva is a marketplace platform connecting clients (devotees) with independent pandit practitioners for Hindu religious services ("poojas"). We facilitate booking, scheduling, payment processing, and communication. We are not a religious organisation and do not employ pandits directly — pandits are independent contractors.
3. Account Registration
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You must provide accurate information during registration and keep it updated. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Each person may maintain only one account.
4. Booking & Payment
- • Pricing: All prices are displayed before payment. Price quotes are valid for 15 minutes. Pricing includes base price, pandit tier adjustment, delivery mode adjustment, platform commission, and applicable GST.
- • Payment: Full payment is required at the time of booking. We use Razorpay (India) and Stripe (international) for secure payment processing.
- • Commission: The Platform charges a 20% commission on the base pooja fee (adjusted for tier and mode). This is clearly disclosed in the price breakdown.
- • Pandit dakshina: The remaining amount after platform commission and taxes is the pandit's dakshina. This is exempt from GST under religious services (Notification 12/2017).
5. Cancellation Policy
Cancellations are governed by our Cancellation & Refund Policy. Key points:
- • You may cancel individual engagements or the entire booking
- • Refund amount depends on time until the engagement start
- • Maximum 3 reschedules per booking
6. Pandit Relationship
Pandits on the Platform are independent contractors, not employees of Bhagwan Seva. While we verify their credentials through our KYP process, the ritual itself is performed by the pandit in their capacity as an independent religious practitioner. We do not guarantee specific religious outcomes.
7. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- • Provide false information in your profile or sankalp data
- • Use the Platform for any purpose other than booking legitimate religious services
- • Contact pandits directly to circumvent the Platform for future bookings
- • Engage in abusive, threatening, or disrespectful behaviour toward pandits or staff
- • Attempt to manipulate reviews or ratings
8. Intellectual Property
All content on the Platform — including pooja descriptions, mantra texts, translations, and educational material — is owned by or licensed to Bhagwan Seva. Sacred texts (Vedas, Puranas, etc.) are in the public domain. Our compilations, translations, and editorial content are protected.
9. Limitation of Liability
Bhagwan Seva's total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Platform shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific booking giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. We do not guarantee specific religious, spiritual, or astrological outcomes from any pooja performed through the Platform.
10. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be governed by the laws of India. Disputes shall be resolved through arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, with the seat of arbitration in India. Before initiating arbitration, parties agree to attempt resolution through our support process.
11. Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. If you disagree with updated terms, you may close your account.
