Cancellation & Refund Policy

Overview

We understand that plans change. This policy explains how cancellations and refunds work on Bhagwan Seva. Because a booking can contain multiple pooja engagements, cancellations can apply to individual engagements or the entire booking.

Cancellation Scope

Single Engagement Cancellation

Cancel one pooja within a multi-pooja booking. Other engagements continue unaffected. Refund is calculated based on that engagement's price and timing.

Full Booking Cancellation

Cancel all engagements in the booking. Each engagement's refund is calculated independently based on its own scheduled start time, then summed.

Client-Initiated Cancellation — Refund Schedule

Refund is based on the time remaining until the engagement's scheduled start:

6 to 24 hours 50%
Less than 6 hours 0% ops-discretion goodwill credit

Mixed Timing (Multi-Engagement Bookings)

When cancelling a full booking with engagements at different times, each engagement's refund is calculated independently. For example: if you cancel a booking on Thursday evening that has one pooja on Saturday (< 48 hours away = 75% refund) and another on Tuesday (> 48 hours = 100% refund), the total refund is the sum of both.

Refund Methods

You can choose how to receive your refund:

Original Payment Method

Refund is processed to the same card/UPI/bank account used to pay. Processing time: 5-7 business days depending on your bank.

Platform Credit +10% bonus

Receive the refund as platform credit with an additional 10% bonus. Credits from refunds never expire. Can be used toward any future booking.

Split

Receive part as a gateway refund and part as platform credit.

Pandit-Initiated Cancellation

If a pandit cancels your engagement, you receive a full refund for that engagement plus goodwill platform credit. We immediately attempt to find a replacement pandit if more than 24 hours remain before the start time. The pandit receives a strike on their profile.

Force Majeure

In exceptional circumstances (natural disasters, government restrictions, etc.), our operations team may cancel engagements with a full refund and no penalties for anyone. These are coded as force majeure in our system.

Rescheduling

  • You can reschedule individual engagements up to 24 hours before start time
  • Maximum 3 reschedules per booking (across all engagements combined)
  • If the original pandit is unavailable at the new time, you'll be asked to consent to a pandit change
  • Rescheduling is free unless it triggers a price change (different muhurat, pandit tier)
  • Rescheduling one engagement does not affect other engagements in the booking
